The BEST 60 Waffle Maker

A good, solid looking waffle maker that cooks 2 waffles at the same time. We played with the setting (another good feature) and we get crispy outside, cooked but soft inside. Would be nice if the griddles came out for cleaning but I just lay the unit on it's side by the sink and clean it with a soapy brush and rinse it clean. I would definitely buy this again.

This waffle maker has not only changed our family breakfast, but our Desert and meals. The pockets are very deep and easily hold blueberries with ice cream. We also use the waffles as hamburger buns. All this started when I found a recipe that came with the unit.

It didnt take me long to get the hang in how to operate this waffle maker. You have to watch that you don’t put too batter in the measuring cup that comes with the maker. You shouldn’t fill the batter to the top of the cup as it will overflow once you close the lid. I keep the browning setting around 4. I have made waffles using sorghum flour and almond flour.

I've only used this twice so far, but I love it! It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and the clean up is pretty straight-forward (as long as you don't put fruit in the waffle batter. I tried that, and it was hard to clean the charred fruit bits out of the waffle grid). It's as compact as I hoped it would be, which was a bit selling-point for someone living in an apartment with limited counter-space. Bit on the heavy-side, but not unreasonably so.

Still working on finding a good vegan waffle recipe, but version with eggs I've used makes tasty waffles that are nicely crisp on the outside (I use setting 3) and fluffy on the inside.
